…Irish American Pride spills out of every pore. This story begins in the mid 1800’s starting the legacy of 5th generation pirates, and later 3rd generation Ironworkers. Their Great, Great, Grandfather Robert Mcknight was a ship Captain and brought Irish immigrants to Alaska and San Francisco from Ireland until early 1900’s. Nicknamed “Coffin Ships”, for more died on these ships than in the early Irish “troubles” or revolutions, because of starvation, disease and overcrowding….as they say, “we are married to the Sea.” It’s in their blood. The Working Class ethic was driven into these boys with a spike and hammer by Father and Grandfather…Men of a Hard, long gone era…Vikings of the Old World. Five lessons passed down they will never forget …“Do what u love, work hard, show respect and you’ll earn respect, stand up for the weak, and never let another man talk down to you”
